Hi Betty, I really enjoyed reading your philosophy. One thing that really stuck out was how passionate you are when it comes to diversity and encouraging your students to learn and even teach about their culture. I read your closing paragraph and immediately was screaming YES in my head when you said you want them to be good citizens and to apply what they learn and apply it to their lives (outside of school). I think there are so many times that teachers just teach the material given to them but students are left without the basic life skills they need to survive! You are going to be a ROCKSTAR teacher here soon :) Thank you for your post! Ashley
